Learning Objectives

  1. Learn to educate soldiers and future soldiers on the new ACFT.

  2. Develop strategies and programming to ensure clients pass and max out their scores.

  3. Discover the keys to success for the strictly enforced standards and techniques in the ACFT.

  4. Understand exactly what ACFT graders are looking for in determining what makes a “proper” repetition for each exercise.

  5. Know the importance of basic self care on the day of the ACFT.

In 2020, the US Army ended its Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), and is now, instead, using the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) for all soldiers in Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserves. As such, this is a great opportunity for personal trainers to help soldiers and prospective recruits prepare themselves for this grueling new challenge.

Furthermore, the US Army will be hiring thousands of personal trainers to help get the service ready for this change. With this course, you will learn the insider details of the ACFT, how it’s scored, and basic programming for a client to pass and max out their score on the test. Or, challenge your clients to see if they can train to the army standard in a fun and competitive way. Either way, get a head start on the competition, and start helping soldiers today!
