New research indicates that resistance training can increase life expectancy in as much as 46% of an aging population. Resistance training is part of any complete health package, yet with aging populations often goes neglected.
Going hand-in-hand with cardiovascular, balance and stretch exercises, it is an option that can deliver amazing results that gives more quantity AND quality of life via improved movement and functioning. Lifting weights has been linked to a 19% reduced risk of death. This course will show the fitness professional how to safely engage aging populations in resistance training that will give them the ability to live a longer and more engaged life.
